 Price to Earnings Ratio or PE ratio is a very important tool to compare and value stocks. It  is the ratio of market price to the earning per share of a company. This indicates how much price (Rs) an investor has to pay to earn one rupees. Similarly, Price to dividend ratio is the ratio of market price to dividend capacity (which may be announced/ actual or which may be tentative calculated from distributable profit).

Sanima General Insurance IPO Allotment

 Sanima General Insurance's IPO allotment will be held on 30th Asoj, Friday according to issue manager NIC Asia Capital. The pre-allotment will be done on 29th Asoj, Thursday. 

Out of the total 30 lakhs units issued to the general public, 1 lakh 20 thousand units was reserved for the company's employees and 1 lakh 50 thousand units was reserved for the mutual funds and institutional investors, and IPO application for the remaining 27 lakhs 30 thousand units was called from the general public. 

A total of 8 lakhs 83 thousand 623 applicants had applied for 1 crore 90 lakhs 12 thousand 340 units, which is 6.96 times more than the issued units. Hence, only 2 lakhs 73 thousand applicants will be alloted 10 units each via lottery and remaining 6 lakhs 10 thousand 623 applicants would not get any shares, i.e. 69.10 percent investors would be empty handed.
