Most people jump into the stock market because they are told by someone or have seen someone who has made a very good fortune in stock market with a hope that they will be able to do so for themselves. But they do not consider the fact that gaining huge in stock market was not an overnight event, it required lot of expertise, capital and promptness to do the right thing at the right time. And when large mass of people enter the stock market in frenzy, in a hope to make quick bucks, they are ready to any price for good as well as the bad companies' stocks. Resources are limited, there's only so much money you have. So do other people. They buy with all the money they have and hope their stock prices go up. But, they haven't considered that how much they themselves are willing to pay for the company. And when the stock market prices fall slightly, they are worried too much, sell in panic and book irreversible loss. They jump from one stock to another and another, losing money gradually. On the other hand there are people who are making money gradually. If you have got enough patience to be on the market watching everything that happens without moving your stocks, without frequent buying or selling, I guarantee that you will always be in profit. What is most detrimental is "Hastiness".
With every investment, you are not promised a certain return. What I suggest is that you choose companies which will never be out of business whatever be the situation. And hold them until your investment value at least quadruples (or more). Make your own rules and follow them strictly. You got only so many days to live. Will you live for the next 20000 trading days? Calculate. Think. And, Act.
Get rich slow. Get filthy rich. You'll be if you have the patience.
