How to choose best stocks to invest upon at the best price?

 Out of the numerous companies listed in the stock exchange, every new investor finds it cumbersome to sort out the best companies to invest upon. Once you have decided the company to invest upon, it is important that you give it some intrinsic value yourself that is the most appropriate price for that stock.\

This is called evaluating a stock. For this, you can look at 180 days average price, 90 days average price and 30 days average price of stocks and make your safest buy if they are near or below the 180 days average. In Bull markets, it is quite not possible to get stocks near the 180 days average price. So, we can safely invest on stocks that are near 90 days average or 30 days average. 

In this video below, I have compiled the 180 day, 90 day and 30 day average prices of all the commercial banks of  Nepal. Closing price averages are misleading in a sense that they are not the actual averages of total shares traded. Very few transactions might have taken place actually at the closing price everyday. So, for better reflection of the prices, I have used Weighted averages to arrange the stocks. The weighted average is the average of all the transactions that have taken place.

Price to Earnings Ratio and Price to Dividend Capacity ratio of all Nepali Commercial Banks - 29th Asoj 2077

 Price to Earnings Ratio or PE ratio is a very important tool to compare and value stocks. It  is the ratio of market price to the earning per share of a company. This indicates how much price (Rs) an investor has to pay to earn one rupees. Similarly, Price to dividend ratio is the ratio of market price to dividend capacity (which may be announced/ actual or which may be tentative calculated from distributable profit). 

We have compiled the latest PE ratio and P/D ratio of all Nepalese Commercial Banks as per the price of 29th Asoj 2077.

Sanima General Insurance IPO Allotment

 Sanima General Insurance's IPO allotment will be held on 30th Asoj, Friday according to issue manager NIC Asia Capital. The pre-allotment will be done on 29th Asoj, Thursday. 

Out of the total 30 lakhs units issued to the general public, 1 lakh 20 thousand units was reserved for the company's employees and 1 lakh 50 thousand units was reserved for the mutual funds and institutional investors, and IPO application for the remaining 27 lakhs 30 thousand units was called from the general public. 

A total of 8 lakhs 83 thousand 623 applicants had applied for 1 crore 90 lakhs 12 thousand 340 units, which is 6.96 times more than the issued units. Hence, only 2 lakhs 73 thousand applicants will be alloted 10 units each via lottery and remaining 6 lakhs 10 thousand 623 applicants would not get any shares, i.e. 69.10 percent investors would be empty handed.
